IAPA - Awards

Awards are special recognition of good work and an encouragement to pursue higher goals. We wish to confer a nationwide recognition to five outstanding PAs through annual awards under the following categories: ‘Best PA Award’, ‘Emerging PA Award’, ‘Best Cardiac Surgery PA Award’, ‘The PA Educator Award’ and ‘Life Time Achievement Award’.

Best PA Award

The Best PA award carries a certificate and a cash award of Rs.25,000/-.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • He / She should have put in at least 10 years of service
  • Age not exceeding 40 years as on 1st August of that year
  • Two years relaxation will be provided to those candidates who have pursued higher studies ( Regular)
  • Additional 5 years relaxation can be provided for those who have completed doctorate programme
  • The entire period of work should have been completed in India
  • Outstanding contribution in their field of practice ( quality of work, academics & research)
  • Additional professional certifications/fellowships
  • He / She should be a member of IAPA
  • Break of service of not more than 1 year can be considered for females (maternity leave)
  • Active participation in association activities will be an added advantage.
  • A letter containing information on the above and justification on why you should be considered for this award.

Best Cardiac Surgery PA Award

The Best Cardiac Surgery PA award carries a certificate and a cash award of Rs.10.000/-.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • He / She should have put in at least 10 years of service
  • Age not exceeding 40 years as on 1st August of that year
  • Two years relaxation will be provided to those candidates who have pursued higher studies ( Regular)
  • Additional 5 years relaxation can be provided for those who have completed doctorate programme
  • The entire period of work should have been completed in India
  • Outstanding contribution in the field of Cardiac Surgery (quality of work, academics & research)
  • IACTS Certification
  • Additional professional certifications/fellowships
  • He / She should be a member of IAPA
  • Break of service of not more than 1 year can be considered for females (maternity leave)
  • Active participation in association activities will be an added advantage.
  • A letter containing information on the above and justification on why you should be considered for this award.

Emerging PA Award

The Emerging PA award carries a certificate and a cash award of Rs.10.000/-.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • He / She Should have put in at least 2 years of service
  • Age not exceeding 25 years as on 1st August of that year
  • Two years relaxation will be provided for to those candidates who have pursued higher studies ( Regular)
  • The entire period of work should have been completed in India
  • Demonstrate the capability to handle clinical decision making
  • Should have presented at least 1 paper in a national/international conference & / or be an author/ co-author in a research publication in a journal
  • He / She should be a member of IAPA
  • The entire period of work should have been performed in not more than 2 institutions
  • Break of service of not more than 1 year can be considered for female candidates ( Maternity leave)
  • Active participation in association activities will be an added advantage
  • A letter containing information on the above and justification on why you should be considered for this award.

PA Educator Award

The PA Educator award carries a certificate and a cash award of Rs.25.000/-

Eligibility Criteria:

  • He / she should have served for a minimum period of 15 years of which at least 10 years in institutes conducting PA programmes from recognized universities
  • Age not below 35years as on 1st August of that year
  • Post graduation/Doctoral programmes in bio-sciences will be an added advantage
  • Additional professional certifications/Fellowships is desirable
  • Outstanding contribution to academics& research
  • The entire period of work should have been completed in India
  • He / She should be a member of IAPA
  • Break of service of not more than one year can be considered for female candidates (Maternity Leave)
  • Active participation in association activities will be an added advantage
  • A letter justifying why you should be considered for this award from Director/Principal of the college.

Send your nominations to the President, IAPA (president@iapaonline.org) on or before 07th September 2023 by 5 p.m.

The Panel’s decision will be conveyed to you by 15th September 2023.
